Belgium condemns criminal attacks in Peshawar

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders Tuesday condemned in the strongest terms the criminal attacks in Peshawar, Pakistan, whereby at least 140 people, most of them children, were murdered.

"These are acts of utmost cruelty that touch the core of a society and negate the most basic human rights," he said in a statement.

"Radicalisation and extremism always lead to destruction and loss of life. It is international diplomacy's duty to promote moderation, prevent radicalisation and fight impunity through respect of international humanitarian and human rights law. This endeavour is at the core of Belgium's foreign policy," he added.
