(MENAFN- Arab Times) Beginning from Dec 14, 2014, the Labor sectors in all provinces affiliated to the Public Authority for Manpower has suspended the issuance or working permits and transfer of residence permits until the end of the year, reports Al-Watan daily say sources.
The Director-General of the authority Jamal Al-Dosari said this is the annual practice done to make inventory of different departments and counting all transactions done throughout the year.
He mentioned this process will not affect the Government Contracts Department, because the labor departments will continue to receive applications for work permits and residence renewal if applied for the first time during this period.
He also said this annual inventory will help take decisions on the issuance of work permits and also help organize the labor market.
