NCSI, OBG enter pact for The Report: Oman 2015

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) has signed a pact with Oxford Business Group (OBG) for its 11th report on Oman's economy. As part of the agreement OBG and NCSI will collaborate on The Report: Oman 2015.

Khalifa Abdullah Hamed al Barwani CEO NCSI said he was confident that the partnership with OBG would help to disseminate important economic data to the local business community and prospective foreign investors. 'Data has little meaning unless presented as something useful for investors. We feel that the sector analysis written by OBG using our accurate and up-to-date data will be hugely beneficial to the sultanate while supporting its national strategy.'

The Report: Oman 2015 will shine the spotlight on the raft of transport and infrastructure projects planned.

The report will consider Oman's ambitious plans for boosting tourism as it looks to increase the industry's contribution to GDP to three per cent over the next six or seven years.

Mwongola Leoni editorial manager at OBG stated 'With Oman's efforts to diversify its economy gaining momentum the importance of providing investors with accurate and up-to-date economic data they need to make their decisions is growing and I'm thrilled that we are playing a part in this process.'
