After four years of double-digit declines for home audio and cinema volume sales saw a slower decline in 2014 as the category tended to stabilise at this low point. Amidst yet another difficult year for the economy the majority of Greek consumers remained uninterested in purchasing stand-alone home audio and speaker systems and the majority of sales came as a part of offers along with TVs – giving consumers as much as 50% price-offs. It was no wonder that TV manufacturers also saw the best sales in home cinema and speaker systems.

Data portability in terms of cloud computing and virtual storage are set to play a significant role in home audio and cinema over the forecast period and the faster manufacturers adopt these technologies the better they can be expected to perform.
