(MENAFN) Etihad Airways announced it is planning to add a new three-flight per week service to Dallas/Fort Worth, which will be its sixth destination in the USD and result in the carrier doubling its network in the US within the last 12 months, Gulf News reported.

The airline said that this service, which is expected to become a daily service in the future, will help in its plans to focus in the US market, as it is the largest aviation market in the world as well as help connect it with the UAE, which is the largest export market for the US in the Middle East region.

"Linking Dallas/ Fort Worth with the strategically important and rapidly growing markets in the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent will help to deepen the strong commercial, trade and cultural relationship between the US and the UAE," the President and Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways said.
