King, Saudi monarch hold summit meeting


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)  His Majesty King Abdullah II, on Sunday, held talks with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, on ways to further cement ties between Jordan and Saudi Arabia as well as developments in the Middle East.

The summit comes as part of continuous coordination and consultation between the leaderships of the two countries to serve common interests.

During the meeting attended by top officials from both sides, the two leaders stressed the need to enhance bilateral relations to serve pan-Arab and Muslim issues. They also tackled regional developments, especially counter-terrorism efforts and underlined support for whatever needed to combat this phenomenon.

The meeting dealt with efforts to achieve peace in the region and a number of issues of common concern.
