Kuwait- Ilegal residents served in gov't departments, employed


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Central Apparatus for Illegal Residents' Affairs had finalized up to 9,294 bureaucratic transactions for illegal residents between January, 2015, and end of November, the department said on Saturday.

The paper work, including transfers and messages with various governmental and non-governmental departments, was done for 148,950 of these residents.

Paper work accomplished for illegal residents concerning the Ministry of Health came on top, totaling 4,723 for 6,985 individuals, the apparatus said in a statement, indicating these documents included birth and death certificates.

The department had addressed up to 2,299 applications to the Ministry of Justice, related to marriage and divorce certificates. They concerned up to 3,205 persons of these category, in addition to 830 ones, sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for 1,168 residents.

Meanwhile, the Civil Service Commission has approved employment applications by 907 illegal residents who do not work in the private sector or the cooperative societies.

It called upon freshly graduated, qualified residents with a diploma and above to report back to the commission to update their data, noting that jobs could be sought by this category of the residents via the Chamber of Commerce.
