Taliban suicide bomber kills six Afghan soldiers in Kabul


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency)  A Taliban suicide bomber blew himself near an army bus
in Kabul on Saturday, killing six soldiers, a police spokesman said,
as the insurgents step up violence two weeks before the NATO-led
military alliance ends its combat mission, dpa reported.

Fourteen people were injured in the blast near Kabul zoo and an
amusement park.

Taliban gunmen also shot dead Supreme Court official Atiqullah Raoufi
as he was on his way to work in the capital, police said.

Hours earlier, Taliban gunmen shot dead 12 people working for a
de-mining project in the southern province of Helmand, a local
official said. The gunmen were killed by police.
