Qatar businesswomen meet to open Tuesday


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The 5th Qatar International Businesswomen Forum, jointly hosted by the Qatari Businesswomen Association and Interactive Business Network under the patronage of H H Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani, will launch its activities on Tuesday

in Doha.

The forum aims to put forward and discuss key issues that greatly affect a growing number of businesswomen in Qatar and beyond. These include topics such as women empowerment, entrepreneurship, human development and corporate social responsibility. "The anticipation for the start of this year's forum has been heightened by the participation of many distinguished women leaders of society," said Aisha Alfardan, Vice-Chairwoman of the Qatari Businesswomen Association. "This further ensures the high quality of the discussions and enable us to meet the expectations of participants. We are definitely looking forward to another successful edition of QIBWF."

The forum, will honour Sheikh Faisal bin Qassem Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Businessmen Association; Abdul Aziz Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer QDB, and Walid Al Sayed COO of Ooredoo for their efforts and continuous support for the annual event and women's sector in general.

With participants from 40 countries expected to attend, the keynote speaker is Sare Davutoglu, wife of Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu of Turkey.

The forum will also have many speakers throughout the two-day programme, including Walid Al Sayed, COO, Ooredoo € Qatar; Sana Bardawil, Director of Communication, Qatar Shell Companies; Maryha Al Dafa- President & Acting Director for Communication € Qatar Foundation; Abdul Aziz Al Khalifa, CEO, QDB.

In addition, Reem Badran, Board Member, Amman Chamber of Commerce € Jordan; Munera Al Dosari, Girnass Developer € Qatar; Dennis Percy- Senior Lead consultant- JMJ Associates; Monika Papadopoulou, Community Relations Manager, Potential € UAE; Alla Kovanlenko, President, Business Women Congress € Ukraine; and Benjamin De Seille, Vice President MENA, Fuchs and Associates € Qatar, will deliver their keynote speeches.
