Saudi- Revised labor accord sent to Nepal

(MENAFN- Arab News) The Ministry of Labor's International Affairs' chief Ahmad Al-Faheed disclosed Friday that an agreement on domestic labor regulations has been sent to Nepal after amendments.

The document does not concern non-domestic labor which will be recruited normally.

The agreement comes after the Nepalese government lifted a ban on their nationals working as domestics in the Kingdom. The Nepalese authorities insisted that an agreement should be signed between the two parties to ensure the safety of their workers.

Sources in the ministry said Katmandu has put a number of restrictions on the employment of its nationals as domestic labor the most important of which is the age of female workers which is now set at 30. Wages were set at $300 a month.
