Quake Shakes Iranian Khuzestan Province


(MENAFN- QNA) An earthquake measuring 5.2 degrees on the open ended Richter scale shook the vicinity of Behbahan Township in Iran’s southwestern Khuzestan province early Saturday morning.

According to the Seismography Network of the Country, affiliated to the Geophysics Institute of the University of Tehran, the quake occurred at 00:15:41 (20:45:41 GMT, Friday).

The epicenter of the earthquake was at 50.45 degrees longitude and 30.51 degrees latitude.

Iranian News Agency (IRNA) said the quake also shook Dogonbadan City of Gachsaran Township in that province, urging the city’s worried residents to rush to the streets. Some walls in Dogonnadan were
