(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) According to Article (3) of the resolution the fine should not be less than Dh5000 for individuals and Dh20000 for entities.

Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council has issued a resolution allowing instalment of fines due to the Government of Dubai.

Resolution No (47) of 2014 states that the director-general executive director and secretary-general may approve the payment of any fine in instalments; with the condition that the applicant explains the reasons for his request. The request is to be approved duly and according to the policies and procedures prescribed in the resolution.

According to Article (3) of the resolution the fine should not be less than Dh5000 for individuals and Dh20000 for entities and the instalment’s period should not exceed one year starting from the date defined by the concerned government’s entity. The director-general or whomever he delegates may increase the instalment’s period for another year if the fine exceeds Dh30000 for individuals and Dh250000 for entities.

Pursuant to the resolution applicant must defray 25 per cent of the total fine’s amount upon approval on the instalment’s request and the installment’s defray must be in cash or via any instrument defined by the concerned government entity. Each instalment must be less than three months in separation. The director-general may adjust any due instalments or separation periods and may delay due payments conditionally all instalments are defrayed within the period defined by the director-general.

The resolution considered valid from the date of publication in the Official Gazette also prescribed the measures against the person defaulting in payment without a reason accepted by the director-general after obtaining approval on his instalment’s request.

The new resolution annuls the Executive Council’s Resolution No (40) of 2011 on instalments of traffic valuations in Dubai and any other resolution contradicts its articles.
