Qatar- Aljazeera scribe killed in Syria

(MENAFN- The Peninsula)  Aljazeera's Arabic Channel correspondent Mahran Al Deeri was killed in Syria while covering battles in the city of Al Sheikh Maskin in rural Daraa, the network said yesterday.

Al Deeri was killed while taking cover from regime fire as his car hit a vehicle of rebel fighters when he turned off his headlights to avoid being targeted, his family members told Aljazeera. This is the same area where three journalists from Orient Network were targeted and killed as many days ago, the network added.
