Mars Inc invests USD60m to expand Dubai factory

(MENAFN) Mars Incorporated, one of the world's biggest chocolate manufacturers, announced it has increased its investments by USD60 million to further expand its facility in Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai and add a new production line for its Snickers chocolate bars, thus bringing its total investment in the factory to hit USd160 million, Arabian Business reported.

The company said that the new line will increase the total factory's production capacity from 60.000 to 100.000 tons per year, and create more than 50 jobs to work on the line, adding to over 850 people currently employed across the GCC working for Mars.

"The openings of the new Mars Snickers bar line and the new Saudi factory constitute new milestones in Mars' continuous expansion and investment in the UAE, and the wider GCC," President Mars Middle East, Turkey & Africa said.
