Saudi- 1000 girls to be given skills training
(MENAFN- Arab News) The Human Development Charity Fund has joined hands with the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry to train more than 1000 girls in the field of human resources. The two organizations signed a cooperation agreement previously for the training and development of women from Makkah at the Jeddah chamber's training academy.
The training program offers courses in the areas of beauty hospitality design and sewing at a total cost of SR80 million in order to meet the needs of the labor market and to achieve the localization of such professions.
The agreement was signed by JCCI Vice President Mazen Batterjee JCCI Director General Ziad Al-Bassam and a top official from the charity fund.
The charity official said that the agreement with the JCCI will contribute to the training of young women and facilitate labor market boosts in the private sector. Such agreements fall under the wider goals of charity funds as their social responsibility to provide capable people for the development of the country.
He said that involvement in these training programs will raise the level of education vocational and technical training for human resource development.
This agreement is the result of an action plan approved by the Social Charity Fund team.
He also praised the progress of the JCCI Academy for providing training and diplomas for different occupations that are currently required in private sector enterprises. Through this program Saudi girls will receive career opportunities as well as vocational and career guidance and awareness.
This program will produce skilled graduates contribute to the reduction of unemployment and help girls to be self-reliant in addition to stimulating the private sector to participate in creating job opportunities for Saudi youth.
Al-Bassam said the cooperation between the charity fund and the JCCI is an honest indication of the determination of both sides toward the rehabilitation of beneficiaries to meet the labor market challenges.
