Renault Samsung's 2014 sales to grow 30 percent in S. Korea

(MENAFN) Renault Samsung Motors Co., the local unit of French automaker Renault S.A., said Thursday its 2014 annual sales in South Korea are estimated to grow 30 percent compared to a year earlier due to the popularity of its QM3 mini-crossover, Yonhap News reported.

Domestic sales have reached 146.201 units in the January-November period this year, surpassing the 131.010 units recorded last year.

The growth in sales came on the back of the QM3 crossover sport utility vehicle (SUV) launched late last year, which has become the best-selling foreign-manufactured car sold in the country.

On the first day of its introduction to the South Korean market, 1.000 of the cars allocated here sold out in just seven minutes.
