Infrastructure development remains a key challenge for profitable growth

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)  This was disclosed by NasJet chief executive officer Saad Alazwari during an interview with Khaleej Times at the Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) in Dubai that concluded on Wednesday.

Aircraft owners and operators are heavily reliant on maintenance and training services outside the region and this increases the operating cost and reduces asset efficiency, so there is even greater potential for gains to be made if these challenges are addressed, Alazwari said.

"Complying with the EU's Emissions Trading Scheme is also expected to increase costs due to mandatory fleet upgrades required to meet the new regulations," he added.

Talking about challenges in Middle East, he said: "Certainly, there are challenges associated with the political instability in the region, which is affecting business in both direct and indirect ways. We have, however been working to help out with the situation, particularly through offering our charter services in locations where there is no availability of commercial flights."

Outlining the company's growth plans, he said: "We believe 2015 will be an important year as we embrace a new corporate identity and push forward with our strategic initiatives to steer the company towards a new era of growth."

NasJet, Middle East's leading private aviation operator and services provider, launched its refreshed corporate identity with the rollout of a new logo and branding to support its strategic goals and business plans. The new NasJet visual identity was unveiled at MEBA.

NasJet has the largest fleet of business aviation aircraft in the region and the company has just acquired three new aircraft - one Boeing Business Jet 3 and two Legacy 600 € on behalf of clients based in the Middle East to further expand its rapidly growing fleet of fixed-wing aircraft.

"As we look to further strengthen our footprint in the region, building up our fleet in line with client requirements and market demands will continue to remain a focus area for NasJet," he added.

"We are constantly streamlining our operations to meet the evolving needs of our clients and support our long-term strategic goals. We are also looking ahead to the addition of new aircraft to our fleet, in addition to planned client servicing developments, some of which include - key aircraft system updates, introduction of a new CRM system to build client profiles, a state-of-the-art electronic direct feedback system and other important developments that will shape NasJet's growth trajectory from 2015 onwards," he said.

"NasJet provides a diversified portfolio of corporate aviation services. Our services are provided based on the specific requirements of our clients, and while demand has been steady across all major segments, we have seen a noticeable increase in our Block Charter service, which allows clients who charter on a regular basis to secure guaranteed availability by buying a fixed-number of hours in advance," he added.

Commenting on MEBA show, he said: "Over the last five editions, it has firmly demonstrated its position as the foremost business aviation platform in the Middle East € offering strong networking opportunities to both new and established industry players."
