(MENAFN- QNA) HE the Ambassador of Djibouti to Qatar Mumin Hassan Barre extended greetings to Qatari Leadership and people on the occasion of the National Day, saying that Qatari people and their friends will always remember what the Founder, Late Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani did to his homeland and people and enabled Qatar to occupy a prominent place and play an active role on the international and regional arenas.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency on this occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar, the Ambassador said all the Qataris will remember the sacrifices of the founders for the unity and supremacy of the nation.
Ambassador Barre described the Qatar-Djibouti relations as close, adding that they go back deep in history for what bond the two nations, referring to the bonds of religion and Arabism and history.
At the official level, the two countries' leaderships strong enjoy close relations between President Ismail Omar Guelleh and HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani as well as with HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, said ambassador Barre adding that the relations between the two peoples are characterized by brotherhood.
He said that he would participate in the official, popular and tribal celebrations of the National day as member of the family of the Qatari people.
Ambassador Barre praised the progress made by Qatar under its wise leadership, adding "Qatar made great progress on the path of modernization, urbanization and economic and social advancement."
The National Day of the State of Qatar is a special day, he said. On behalf of Djibouti President Ismail Omar Guelleh, government and people, I extending warm greetings to HH the Emir, the government and people of Qatar wishing Qatar further progress.
