Palestinian teen injured critically in clashes in wake of official's death


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) A Palestinian 14-year-old boy sustained injuries described as critical after clashes with Israeli forces close to Jalazone Refugee Camp in Ramallah on Wednesday moments after an attack on a Palestinian official led to his death.

Raoof Snoubar was dealt a blow to the head which led to a broken skull. Another three Palestinians were also injured in a similar incident at a village in northern Ramallah.

The clashes come after the death of Palestinian official Ziad Abu Ein, who died shortly after being attacked by Israeli forces near a village in the West Bank.

Abu Ein was taking part in a peaceful protest against the confiscation of Palestinian land by Israeli settlers.

According to reports, the official was suffering from a heart condition, and a joint Israeli-Palestinian investigation into the incident is being carried out.
