Kuwait's Nat'l Security Bureau chief in Doha for NATO's ICI conf.


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Head of Kuwait's National Security Bureau Sheikh Thamer Ali Al-Sabah arrived in Doha on Wednesday to participate in an international conference marking the 10th anniversary of NATO's Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI).

Sheikh Thamer is leading Kuwait's delegation to the two-day conference, due to begin tomorrow.

Sheikh Thamer will address the conference's third session about future horizons of ICI.

This international event will bring together NATO Secretary General, the 28 Permanent Representatives to the North Atlantic Council, high level NATO officials and government representatives, academics and senior scholars from the Gulf region, it noted.

The ICI includes Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE.

The ICI aims at establishing security and defense cooperation among members to boost security and stability in the region. The US and Europe will be providing defense-related advice to every ICI member, encouraging military cooperation and fighting terrorism.
