Jordanian court sentences two persons to prison for ISIL involvement


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Jordan's State Security Court sentenced Wednesday two persons to three years in prison for joining the Islamic State in Iraq and Levant (ISIL), official PETRA news agency reported.

The court accused the first defendant of joining armed terrorist groups abroad, while the second was charged with entering and exiting from Jordan illegally, said PETRA. The names of the convicts were not disclosed.

The second defendant was also accused of using the internet to spread the ideologies of ISIL, it added.
