Kerry to meet with Netanyahu in Rome

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Rome, Italy, to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss recent developments in Israel, the West Bank and Jerusalem, the State Department announced Wednesday. No dates were announced.

"There are a growing number of countries that are pushing for action on this issue at the UN This warrants discussion with Israel, the Palestinians and key members of the international community, and certainly that will be part of their focus as well," said State Department Spokesperson Jen Psaki to reporters.

Kerry "often feels that personal face-to-face diplomacy is the most effective way of engaging. And clearly it's also an opportunity, to talk about the push for action (from other countries) at the UN," she added.
