Inflation decreases 1.6 percent in rural areas of Iran


(MENAFN) The Statistical Center of Iran showed that the inflation rate in rural areas dropt 1.6 percent to reach 17.3 percent in the last year, Iran Daily reported.

The Finance and Economic Affairs Minister said on July 20, that the government will implement ani-recession programs until a single-digit inflation rate is achieved, local media reported.

He added that the administration has prepared a comprehensive plan to combat high inflation and bring the national economy out of recession.

However, he said in March that the inflation rate decreased below 15 percent during mid-March 2014-mid-March 2015.
