UAE- Davies Haddioui win Challenge Match
Dubai — Dame Laura Davies of England and Morocco’s Maha Haddioui combined well to win the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters Challenge Match on the par-3 course.
The duo returned a two-under 25 on Monday to warm up ahead of the main competition which begins today (Wednesday).
The all-Swedish team of Anna Nordqvist and Sophie Gustafson and the Asian pairing of Shanshan Feng (China) and Pornanong Phatlum (Thailand) finished in joint second place one shot adrift. Davies and Haddioui rattled off three birdies in a row from the fourth hole to take control of proceedings. They unfortunately bogeyed the last but that only served to narrow the margin of their victory.

“I have always liked watching Laura Davies” an elated Haddioui said afterwards. “It was pretty exciting playing with her in a greensomes format.
“This was the third time I have played with her. She is just an amazing player and I have always looked up to her.”
