Kuwait's delegation in Tunis for 38th Arab police leaders conf.


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait's Major-General Abdulfattah Al-Ali arrived in Tunis Tuesday heading a delegation of the interior ministry to attend the 38th Conference for Arab Police and Security Leaders, to kick off tomorrow at General Secretariat of Arab Interior Ministers Council.

The conference is to discuss a number of important subjects such as the modernized Arab security strategy, Arab strategy draft on boosting the role of community police, the General Secretariat said in a statement.

Discussions will also include the Arab plan to foster the culture of human rights in the security action, enhance security bureaus' performance in light of recent Arab and international developments, and security measures to counter sea piracy in Arab region, said the statement.

Meanwhile, the conference is to display award-winning projects of the Secretariat's awareness films contest, held annually under the framework of efforts exerted in exposing crimes and countering their dangers.

A number of senior security officials from various Arab States, as well as representatives of the Arab League, Arab Human Rights Committee, Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, Arab Police Sporting Federation, Arab Tourism Organization, the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), and the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) are to take part at the conference.
