The novel revolves around Joshua Broady a troubled child who was raised in Baltimore’s rough side. Joshua enjoys a successful and happy life in which he is loved by all of his friends and family. Fortunately the inspiration Joshua Broady found from a dubious friend change his path but not the destiny of this young boy.
Decades have passed and Joshua goes back to the location that signifies a time of his past that has been forgotten. In this place Joshua meets a man on the death row whom he is aware of as innocent. Risking the safety of his family and his own life Joshua entrusts his eventful accounts to the local detective and discovers a community burdened with deceit and prejudice.
A conspiracy which is deeper than anyone could imagine reveals itself. Just the forces urging Joshua to remain silent match the desire of Billy Hamilton a local police officer to see justice. The choices of Joshua Broady could be the determining factor if the truth will be revealed – provided that he survives to expose the truth.
