Qatar- Media center accompanying 35th summit opens


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Qatari assistant Foreign Minister for Services and Follow-up Affairs Rashed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa inaugurated here on Monday the media center and the photo exhibition accompanying the 35th GCC Summit due here tomorrow.

Al Khalifa toured the various facilities of the center that were conducted by the organizing committee.

The center is inuagurated under the auspices of the GCC Secretariat.

The center included more than 100 personal computers, 50 printers, fax machines and wireless services.

The organizing committee also facilitated studios for live coverage to help the GCC states' correspondents to cover this event.

The Qatari News Agency also organized a photo exhibition depicting the most important photos throughout the previous summits.

Director General of the Qatari News Agency Ahmad Al Buainayn told KUNA on the sidelines of the opening that this photo exhibition displays activities of the GCC news agencies since the establishment of the GCC.

He extolled the Kuwaiti photo pavilion in the center saying this participation was not strange to Kuwait.

For his part, Director General of the Bahrain News Agency Muhannad Al-Nuaimi said that the GCC summit is the largest gathering that brings together news reporters and correspondents of the GCC for exchanging expertise and highliting the GCC march through live coverage.

He added that the GCC media has a big role to play in highlighting this rapproachemnt and coexistence between the GCC peoples.
