Gunmen release 200 prison inmates in Nigeria


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency)  Gunmen stormed a maximum security prison in the
central-western Nigerian city of Minna, freeing more than 200
inmates, The Punch and other media reported Sunday, dpa reported.

About 10 gunmen shot their way into the prison on Saturday, injuring
several guards, according to the report.

Prison spokesman Rabiu Muhammed confirmed the incident, but said he
could not confirm the number of prisoners who managed to escape.
