Ireland's industrial production grow 38 percent in October annually


(MENAFN) The industrial production of Ireland grew 38.5 percent in October compared to the same month last year, official figures showed, Xinhua reported.

The figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) confirmed that the industrial production increased 10 percent in October compared to the previous month.

The CSO figures showed the modern sector, comprising a number of high-technology and chemical sectors, recorded a monthly growth of 9.5 percent. Up 49.1 percent in the year after a revised annual rise of 27.7 percent in September.

Chemicals and pharmaceuticals registered a huge increase of 90.7 percent, reflecting positive base as a result of expiry of patents last year.
