Malaysia to improve palm oil, timber exports to Netherlands, Belgium


(MENAFN) Malaysia's Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities will lead a timber and palm oil promotion mission to the Netherlands and Belgium, QNA reported.

The ministry confirmed that the mission was to enhance bilateral trade in palm oil and timber based products, as well as discussing possible areas of collaboration between the country's private sector and the two countries, local media reported.

The Netherlands is major export destination for products, with palm oil and palm based products exported from Malaysia valued at USD1.71 billion in 2014, accounting 9.5 percent of the total global exports of these products.
