Saudi plastic exports post USD1.49b


(MENAFN) Saudi plastics exports remain the largest category of Saudi economy which valued at USD1.49 billion, according to the National Commercial Bank, Saudi Gazette reported.

Regardless of low oil prices, plastics grew 9.2 percent annually in September, marking a return of 34.7 percent of the monthly non-oil exports.

Exports of chemical industry products registered USD1.43 billion, accounting for 30.4 percent of non-oil exports.

However, on an annual basis, exports of chemical products decreased 13.9 percent, due to the dwindling oil prices, and the slowing demand from China.
