Kuwaitis top GCC citizens in real estate acquisition


(MENAFN) According to a report by the GCC Secretariat General's Information Department, Kuwaitis have topped the list among other GCC citizens in terms of realty possession in the council member states, with Kuwaitis making 9.940 deals in 2013, KUNA reported.

The report said that Kuwaitis were then followed by Saudis, with 5.022 deals, followed by the Qataris with 1.870 deals, the UAE citizens who made 1.368 deals, Bahrainis with 1.357 and then Omanis with 998 deals.

The department said that the total number of property acquisitions covering all GCC citizens in 2013 has amounted to 20.555, thus registering an increase by 25 percent in comparison with 2012, when the number of acquisition deals has stood at 16.479 deals.
