Jordanian King, U.S. President Hold Summit Meeting


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency)  Jordan's King Abdullah II and U.S. President Barack Obama held a summit meeting at the White House on Friday.
The summit meeting focused on bilateral cooperation, the Jordanian-US strategic partnership and ways to further boost it in various fields.
The King's visit to Washington resulted in the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding for another 3 year at a value of $1 billion annually. The US also pledged to offer a third package of loan guarantees to Jordan.
The summit also dealt with the latest developments in the Middle East, mainly efforts to achieve peace between the Palestinians and Israelis in addition to efforts of the international community to fight terrorist organizations and deal with the situation Syria and Iraq, Jordan NEws Agency (Petra) reported.
