(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Nigerian security operatives on Saturday intercepted a
Russian plane carrying arms and ammunition at Kano airport in the
north of the country, the newspaper Vanguard said on its website.
It was not immediately clear if the weapons were being flown to
Nigeria or if the plane was in transit.
The crew was taken into custody, Vanguard quoted an anonymous
security official as saying.
dpa was unable to reach a police spokesman for comment.
