(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Ooredoo will showcase a range of innovations at ITU Telecom World 2014 conference in its special 'Imaginarium' display. 'Imaginarium' will display new-wave technologies that will change life in Qatar for the better.
The stand will have special pods to showcase new smart technology from different international companies that will have a major impact on people's lives throughout Qatar and the world.
On display will be a range of distinct areas, with everything from smart infrastructure (5G and Next Gen Fibre), smart entertainment, 'Internet of Everything', connected cars, next generation education, health and workplace solutions, to mega-city and municipality services management, intelligent transport and smart stadiums.
In all, it will be the most complete display of next-generation technology ever staged in Qatar or the region, demonstrating Ooredoo's leadership role in driving the latest and the best technology for businesses and consumers.
"Ooredoo's imaginarium will showcase some of the most advanced smart technology in the world, as we host global innovations and technology that will help build Qatar's smart cities, smart buildings and smart stadia," said Waleed Al Sayed (pictured), Chief Operating Officer, Ooredoo Qatar. "We have laid the foundation for this growth by creating Qatar's bigger, faster network € now we will offer people a first glimpse of the incredible innovations that will come soon to Qatar and around the world," he said.
Technology and innovation will be key themes at this year's ITU Telecom World Conference.
"The advent of technologies such as 3D Printing, robots and Unarmed, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles € or UUAVs € have significantly enhanced the possibilities for transforming lives, especially in the remotest corners of the world," said ITU Secretary-General Hamadoun Touré.
