Saudi- Spike in crashes involving teachers and students


(MENAFN- Arab News) Three female teachers were killed in a car accident in Madinah on Thursday.

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority received a report at 6:38 a.m. on Thursday about a car accident on the Qassim 90 Kilo Road.

On Wednesday several teachers were killed in an accident on the road to Tabuk and another one a week ago on the Yanbu road.

Meanwhile the Al-Khamis General hospital and Al-Hayat National Hospital had declared a state of emergency on Monday following a crash involving 16 students. The accident resulted in the death of one student.

Twelve people were taken to the Al-Khamis Hospital's emergency unit. Four people had minor injuries while eight students were in a serious condition.

Three were transferred to the National Hayat hospital.

The Saudi Red received a report at 1:20 p.m. about a collision involving two vehicles in Bin Hashbal Valley one of them a minibus carrying students.
