Eurozone's economy to contract further in 2015

(MENAFN) A survey showed that euro zone business activity grew less than thought in November, suggesting the area's economy may contract again early next year, Oman Observer reported.

The region's gross domestic product (GDP) growth is to be merely 0.1 percent in the final quarter of the year, with a strong chance of the near-stagnation turning to renewed contraction in next year.

Forecasts suggest an economic growth of 0.2 percent this quarter and 0.3 percent in the next quarter. Meanwhile, Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) sank to 51.1, missing an earlier flash reading of 51.4.

Annual inflation dipped to 0.3 percent in November, deep into the ECB's "danger zone" for price moves, although the central bank is not expected to alter its already very loose policy when it meets.
