'Kuwait keen to put an end to negative social behaviors'


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY Dec 3 (KUNA): Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al- Hamad Al-Sabah met with the ministry's security leaderships Wednesday to discuss laying plans and activating measures to limit recent negative social behaviors and attitudes in inner-streets and some areas.

The meeting addressed ways to deal with annoying acts that have lately caused security concerns caused many complaints by citizens and residents stressing that there should be immediate security response the ministry said in a press statement.

Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled also pointed out a combo of reoccurring behaviors in the streets such as speeding racing irreverence fights violence harassments in addition to use of white weapons and stimulant drugs adding that firmness in implementing the law is highly required in order to stop perpetrators of these intolerable actions and bring them to justice.

Intensified awareness campaigns via media sources should also precede field security operations in order to bring to youngsters' attention dangers of their actions and behaviors in violating the law and list all types of punishments alongside each violation and negative behavior in public.
