(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir received on Wednesday visiting Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah amid participation in the Second Arab-Russia Forum, which kicked off here earlier in the day.
After the meeting, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled told reporters that he conveyed greetings on behalf of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to the Sudanese leader.
He added that participation of President Al-Bashir at the recently held Arab Summit in Kuwait last March was highly appreciated, and was one of the key reasons for its, as well as his participation in the Arab-African summit, which was also held in Kuwait in November of last year.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and cooperation on various levels, including the upcoming joint ministerial committee between the two countries next January.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled said that the committee would consider the prospect of expanding areas of mutual cooperation between the two countries.
The Kuwaiti minister pointed out that the Arab-Russia Forum clearly showed Khartoum's capabilities in hosting and organizing such gatherings, which help ease all obstacles to ensure success for all participants.
