Gendarmerie director, British ambassador discuss security cooperation


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)  Gendarmerie Department Director General, Maj. Gen. Ahmad Sweilmin, on Tuesday, discussed with the British Ambassador in Amman Peter Millett, cooperation between Jordan and Britain and ways to boost it in security and other fields.

The Gendarmerie chief said that Jordan, thanks to the support of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, noting the Kingdom's special relations with the United Kingdom.

Millett said that Amman and London have distinguished ties, particularly in the security field, and praised the advancement that the gendarmerie forces have reached at all levels.
