Dubai govt media office marks National Day


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)  The Government of Dubai Media Office and the Dubai World Hospitality Championship organised activities at the Convention Gate of the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) to mark the UAE's 43rd National Day.

Mona Al Marri, Director-General of the Government of Dubai Media Office, said: "The National Day of our country is held dear by every Emirati as it is a day to remember the founding fathers' achievements and their efforts to realise the dream of unity. Forty-three years after the formation of the UAE, the country's achievements are recognised globally, and the National Day is the occasion to renew allegiance to our country and loyalty to our wise leadership."

Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director-General of Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing and Chief Executive Officer of the DWTC, said: "The National Day is an opportunity to reflect on the UAE's heritage and the many great achievements of our young nation, led by the enlightened vision of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates.

"We congratulate the leadership and all residents of the UAE in celebrating our country's rich past and, moving forward, thank them for their contributions in realising the UAE's future as a global leader, innovator and pioneer."
