Qatari Barwa signs USD1.46 deal


(MENAFN) Qatari Barwa Real Estate Company announced it has signed a deal for the selling of two huge plots of land for about USD1.46 billion, with both plots of land being located in Mesaimeer area, The Peninsula Qatar reported.

According to the real estate company, the first plot of land, which was valued USD721.18 million, was purchased by a private Qatari company, and will be handed to them before the end of 2014, while the second plot will be delivered by the first quarter of 2015 in a deal that is expected to be worth about USD740.37 million.

Barwa said that it was aiming to enhance the company's liquidity through the selling of these pieces of land so it could meet its financial obligations and implement new projects.
