UK Aberdeen Asset Management's profits hit USD770m


(MENAFN) Aberdeen Asset Management announced posting underlying profit before tax of USD770 million in the year ended September 30, 2 percent higher over a year earlier, Xinhua reported.

The British company's net revenues surged 4 percent to USD1.75 billion during the period. Underlying weak earnings per share decreased 4 percent to 48.74 dollar, said Aberdeen in a statement.

Data showed that Aberdeen's cash over the same period increased dramatically by 53 percent to USD1.02 billion, while its assets under management increased by 62 percent to USD508.44 billion.

"Markets are likely to remain volatile given the uncertain economic and interest rate environment but our new financial year has started well with our broadened product range attracting interest from a range of clients," chief executive said.
