During the meeting, Majali stressed the need to put in place a wider cooperation framework in order to achieve common interests, particularly in the areas of security, exchange of expertise, training programs, rehabilitation and the fight against crime and extremism.

The Interior Minister said that facing difficult economic, political and security challenges in the region and finding comprehensive political solutions to these crises was the key to snuffing out extremism and terrorism.
