Oman Air showcases latest Airbus Boeing aircraft
(MENAFN- Arab News) Oman Air showcased the latest additions to its growing fleet at an exclusive event in Muscat on Monday in the presence of VIPs Sindbad Frequent Flyer Programme members and media representatives in addition to Oman Air's staff.
They were shown around both the new A330-300 and B737-900 aircraft. Each features new interiors seats and inflight entertainment systems.
Oman Air's Chairman Darwish Al-Balushi members of the board CEO Paul Gregorowitsch and members of the airline's senior management team hosted the event. They were on hand to outline Oman Air's future plans and answer guests' questions.
Gregorowitsch commented: 'Everyone at Oman Air is delighted with these new aircraft which are the first of 24 that we will take delivery of over the next three years. We were therefore extremely proud to have invited VIPs stakeholders the media our most valued customers and my Oman Air colleagues to view them at Muscat International Airport.'
He added: 'Our guests tried out our superb new Business Class and Economy Class seats inspected our new state-of-the-art IFE systems and found out more about our plans for the future.'
'On behalf of Darwish Ismail Al-Balushi minister responsible for financial affairs and Oman Air's chairman of the board and all my colleagues it was a pleasure to welcome our guests aboard the new aircraft and to herald a wonderful new chapter in Oman Air's 21-year history.'
Oman Air's new Airbus A330-300 features 24 new Business Class seats designed by BE Aerospace. Fitted in a 2-2-2 configuration each comfortable and spacious 21-inch wide seat converts to a 77-inch long fully flat bed.
The new Oman Air Boeing B737 cabin offers 12 Recaro-designed Business Class seats in a 2-2 configuration.
Both the Oman Air's new Airbus A330-300s and new Boeing B737s feature seats newly-designed by Zodiac Aerospace.
