(MENAFNEditorial) Grilling accessories company Backyard Bulldog recently tested its new grill mat product on the Big Green Egg Large Grill and is pleased to announce positive results. As such the company officially recommends the use of their grill mats with Big Green Egg grills of all sizes.
Backyard Bulldog used two grill mats and placed each on top of the Big Green Egg's grates after allowing the grill to reach an optimal temperature. For the official test the cook placed two racks of ribs on the mats – one on each mat – and began grilling. According to CEO Matthew Richardson who oversaw the testing process "We are happy to report that the grill mats work very well with Big Green Egg products." This news comes on the heels of reports that the Backyard Bulldog Grill Mats are compatible with all gas and electric grills as well.
"As sort of the crown jewel of charcoal grills we wanted to publicly test our mats on a Big Green Egg" said Richardson. "As the results prove our grill mats are compatible with any charcoal grill."
According to taste tests ribs cooked on the Backyard Bulldog Grill Mat have the same flavor as those placed directly on the grates. "The big advantage is that nothing sticks no juices drip through the grates and there is hardly any cleanup process" said Richardson.
Other food items tested on the Big Green Egg and Backyard Bulldog grill mat included burgers steaks and pork tenderloin. Each time the results were nearly identical to the meats cooked directly on the grill but without the mess.
Backyard Bulldog released its new grill mat product at the beginning of November and is currently selling through Amazon.com.
