Saudi- Renovated mataf to open in Ramadan
(MENAFN- Arab News) The newly renovated and expanded mataf the circumambulation area around the Kaaba will be open on the ground and first floors in Ramadan and on the top floor for next year's Haj a senior official has said.
Faisal Fuad Wafa chairman of the technical committee overseeing the Grand Mosque expansion made the announcement at a meeting of the committee. The additional expansion of these floors would also be completed he said.
The participants at the meeting discussed issues related to the third phase of the project that would help pilgrims perform their rituals easily. The project is expected to double the capacity of the mataf area.
