Massive drug smuggling bid foiled


(MENAFN- Arab News) Customs officers at northern Hudaitha checkpoint have foiled an attempt to smuggle more than two million amphetamine drug pills into the Kingdom said Ibrahim Al-Anazi director of customs in Hudaitha.

'The pills were hidden inside a car in a professional way and it was very difficult to find them out' said Al-Anazi.

He said the customs department would take extra precaution to prevent smuggling of drugs into the Kingdom using different techniques.

In a related development police in Jordan prevented another attempt to smuggle one million amphetamine drug pills into the Kingdom on Wednesday.
