60 Germans Fighting with Daesh Killed


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Berlin November 23 (QNA) - Sixty Germans who have joined the terrorist militia 'Daesh' have been killed to date the President of the Federal Constitutional Protection Office Hans-Georg Maassen told the German "Welt am Sonntag" newspaper.

On Friday German Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere estimated at least 550 radicals have travelled from Germany to join the fighting in Iraq and Syria.

An estimated 60 of them "have to date been killed or committed suicide - at least nine of them in suicide attacks" Maassen said.

Maassen warned about possible attacks by religious radicals inside Germany. "We should prepare ourselves the such attacks could also happen here at home" he said. "There is a definite threat." (QNA)
