(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT Nov 30 (KUNA): Kuwaiti racers won top ranks in the second round of the Bahrain National Drag Racing Championship that concluded late on Saturday. Turki Al-Humaidi came first in pro mod while Salem Al-Tamimi ranked the first and his fellow Ali Hamza came second in the 4.5 category. In super street Abdullah Khadada and Jassim Al-Maqhawi won the first and second places respectively.
In pro-bike race Abdulaziz Fathallah emerged the top winner followed by Mohammad Bou-Rashed and then Mohammad Al-Awad. In super street bike Misfer Al-Misfer came first followed by Ahmad Al-Juaidan and then Yacoub Al-Ali. In street bike racer Misfer Al-Misfer came first while Bader Ben Eidan came second and Mohammad Al-Berjes won the third place. In a statement to KUNA after the championship the head of the drag racing and Q8 team at the Quarter Mile Racing Club Sheikh Duaij Al-Fahad Al-Sabah hailed the performance of racers who achieved top ranks. He said racers' performances reflected the real level of the game in Kuwait. Sheikh Duaij hoped that the racers could perform well in the upcoming rounds. He commended the role of Bahrain's officials who paid more attention to the game saying their role is the main reason that achieved a success in that championship. Sheikh Duaij described the Bahrain International Circuit as one of the best circuits that implement international standards in racing. Sheikh Duaij thanked Bahrain Motor Federation President Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa and CEO of Bahrain International Circuit and Sheikh Salman Bin Issa Al Khalifa for their effective contribution to the event and their hospitality.
